This website is administered by the California Reinvestment Coalition, a 501(c) 3 non-profit.  CRC has a 25+ year history of working in California to increase access to banking and other financial services for low-income communities and communities of color.

This website grew in part out of a report CRC released in March, 2014, documenting how over $19 million in public benefit dollars were diverted to ATM fees paid by people when they withdrew their public benefits like CalWORKs.  You can read the report here.
